University Competence Center for Collaboration Technologies (UCT)

The University Competence Center for Collaboration Technologies (UCT) is a joint project of the University of Koblenz-Landau, IBM Deutschland GmbH and GIS AG. It was founded in 2010 as a university-industry cooperation project on the topic of Enterprise Collaboration Systems (ECS) providing expertise and services to academic institutions.

Teaching

The UCT develops innovative teaching modules for training in collaboration technologies, especially for collaboration software and provides this for teachers in educational institutions. It also operates a hosting platform for customized learning environments (UniConnect).

Research

In international research collaborations, the UCT team studies the effects of the use of collaboration technologies and social software in enterprises. The findings of the research projects are continuously transferred into the teaching material of the UCT.

Objectives of the UCT

The long term goal of the project is the establishment and operation of a center of expertise and services for educational institutions.

You can learn more about the project on the UCT Website.
